WHAT DISEASES DO THEY CAUSE?

Protista consist of a very large and diversified group of microorganisms; it basically includes all organisms that are not animals, plants, or fungi. However, protista may be animal-like, plant-like, or fungi-like. Below listed are a few protista:

Algae
Protozoa
Slime Molds
Water Molds

HOW DO I PREVENT OR CURE THESE DISEASES?

There are not really any treatments to cure these diseases now, however, vaccines do assist in preventing the contraction of these sicknesses.

Protozoa is the most common protista that causes disease. They become parasites and make humans sick. Below listed are a few diseases harmful protista cause:

Malaria
Amoebic Dysentery
African Sleeping Sickness
Chagas Disease
Giardiasis
